Thanks for a wonderful 11 years.
Unfortunately, after 11 wonderful years, we've decided to close Orchard Hosting.
This has been a very difficult decision, and comes after a great deal of thought.
Many of you will be aware of the recent difficulties we have had with the cloud data centre that provides our newer servers, and the growing realisation that we are unable to source the level of reliability and service from our suppliers that you, our loyal customers, are entitled to expect. We, like you, feel badly let down, and are extremely apologetic for the frustration and inconvenience you suffered. We tried to do our very best, but ultimately we didn’t feel it was good enough.
As a result it has proved impossible to provide the level of service with which we have prided ourselves with over the years.
Orchard is still very much alive and kicking! Orchard has expanded considerably in the field of web development over the last few years, and that is the direction we intend to continue and grow the business. We’re just not going to do hosting any more.
Don't worry... we're not going to leave you up the creek without a paddle -
We're not planning to turn off servers until 3rd June 2013 so until then we'll be supporting you in the normal way and we'll be helping each of you transfer to your new host.
To make sure you continue to get a high quality and excellent value service, we’ve searched the market for alternatives, and have chosen Clook a hosting company in Preston with whom we’ve been friends for some time. They've been operating for many years and inspired and heavily influenced the way we worked so we feel it's only fitting we recommend them.
Clook are happy to take care of the complete transfer process from our server to theirs and also will give you the first month's hosting free if you transfer to them.
Orchard Internet will continue to trade and we will remain contactable even after the servers switch off in the usual way.
